In just a few short weeks I’ll be flying out to the beautiful Kimberley region in West Australia for my 2 week photographic adventure with a Ken Duncan group.
The trip is my prize for taking out 1st place in the Ken Duncan Photo Awards competition back in February. To say i’m excited is an understatement!
It’s going to be a completely new experience for me – I’ve never gone away for such a long time with nothing but photography on the agenda.
We’re visiting some amazing places, such as Cape Leveque, Fitzroy Crossing, Purnululu National Park (the Bungle Bungles), Home Valley Station, Mitchell Plateau, Bell Gorge, Bell Creek Falls and Broome.
It’s going to be quite a challenge – getting up early for all the sunrise shots, then the sunset shots, and when I’m supposed to be sleeping, staying outside for the nightscape shots. I suppose I’ll sleep when I get home 🙂
I can’t wait to see the beautiful scenery and to hopefully capture it in a way that does it justice. I have no idea if I’ll have any phone reception out there (unlikely!) but I might be able to provide updates via my Facebook profile from hotel wireless, but depends where we’re staying 🙂
