This shot was taken at Forresters Beach in mid-February, at about 3:45am when the Milky Way was nicely positioned to rise in the East during the nice dark hours of the night.
It’s a single 30s exposure, f/2.8 14mm on the Canon 6D at ISO6400. I had to stand still for 30 seconds in this selfie!
It was just after I got my 6D, and I was amazed at how much light was captured at ISO6400! There’s basically no processing of the foreground – it was captured almost exactly like that.
