It was a good morning at Killcare, on the 4th January 2012 when I captured various nightscapes and seascapes during the pre-dawn and dawn skies. Here’s a selection of new images from that session.
This first shot was captured at 4:38am while it was still quite dark. The long exposure of the camera captured the stars of the constellation Scorpius, while the pre-dawn glow of the Sun started creeping into the scene.
It was a 60s exposure, ISO1600, f/2.8 @ 17mm.
The next shot was captured at 5:51am, a few minutes before sunrise. The colours were great.
And this last image was captured a few minutes later at 5:55am just as the Sun was creeping above the horizon.
Captured with the 24-105mm lens @105mm, f/4, ISO100, 1/125s exposure.
I’m almost finished with the images from that Killcare session now – only a few panoramas to go and that’s it! It was a good morning.
Thanks for looking.
