The Venus and Jupiter Conjunction during March 2012 is progressing nicely, as the pair of planets get closer together each night until around the 15th March, then slowly drift apart again.
This image of the conjunction was captured last night on the 12th March 2012 at Gosford Waterfront.
The brightest of the pair (the bottom one) is Venus, with Jupiter above it.
I liked the reflection of the planets on the water. Unfortunately Adcock Park had something on which caused the bright lights beneath the planets. But still, the planets shone like beacons – they were great to see. And it was a stunning sunset just 30 minutes before – I have some photos of that still to process!
Keep an eye out to the west after Sunset and check the article on IceInSpace for more!
