Last night, 13th March I was able to capture Venus, Jupiter and the International Space Station transiting just past the conjunction of the planets. It was a magnificent sight as my daughter Eliza and I watched the show over the serene Tuggerah Lake at Long Jetty.
Captured with a Canon 5D Mark II, 24-105mm lens @24mm, 8s exposures @ f/10, ISO800. 2.5 minutes of total exposure.
Eliza and I talked about the astronauts currently on board the ISS and she asked whether they’d be looking down at us 🙂 I explained to her that they orbit the Earth every 1.5 hours and they get 15 sunrises and sunsets every day! She was amazed.
Thanks for looking.
